Gut-Brain Health

There are many things we can do when looking to influence our mental health in a positive manner. One of the ways currently gaining momentum is through the use of nutrients and maintaining the health of our gut.

Why is this? The brain-gut connection is increasingly identified as a major contributor to our overall health.
We previously thought communication was one-directional (the brain talks with the gut). We now understand the communication to be bi-directional (meaning the messages travel both ways). Even more importantly, scientists have found the gut sends approximately 400 X the amount of signals to the brain than the brain does to the gut.

This is just one of the reasons why the brain-gut axis is so important to our overall mental health. If our guts are out of balance, then we will feel it not only in our stomachs, but our thoughts and feelings.

Lets talk about the
brain-gut connection...
